About Us

Situated in Trowell - a peaceful, rural setting offering a full boarding service for your cat(s). We are easily accessible from Nottingham, Derby and surrounding areas. As a small, family-run cattery, we offer our best personal attention to every guest, such as playing, grooming, cuddling or just chatting, depending on their personality.

Your cat's holiday is just as important as yours - that's why we're open all year round and welcome cats of all ages. Purrfect accommodation for your cat(s)! Apple Tree Cattery was purposely built to offer the 5-star standard we would expect for our own cats. Most of all, this is a loving environment and a fun place to bring your cat(s).

As we are not a large cattery, we can spend quality time with your much-loved feline family member(s). Don't take our word for it, come and see for yourself. All rooms have their own radiators which have their own thermostat so if the temperature drops, your cat shall remain nice and toasty. Gas central heating is purrfect in the cattery as it does not limit heating in a particular area.

Our little princess stayed here for 12 days and she enjoyed her stay. We were very anxious to leave here behind but as soon I met Jackie and saw the lovely environment, my mind was at peace. Jackie sent me regular updates and photos and made sure that I enjoy my holiday without worrying. The place is spotless and all the cats seem to love Jackie. I will definitely book again as I believe it’s the best. Thank you so much for taking care of my little girl xx

Could not be more happy with this place. Very clean and the cats are obviously adored there. My kitten stayed here for 4 days and and she obviously loved the place when I came to pick her up. We got lots of pictures and even a video of her while we were away. I was not worried to leave her here at all

Wow! Such a fantastic cattery, super clean, very large luxurious rooms with lots of cat trees and plenty of toys to keep the kitties entertained. Jackie is wonderful so very kind, you can tell how much she cares about each and every cat. Jackie most certainly goes above and beyond in ensuring all the cats needs are met, truly lovely person and wonderful place for the kitties.

Absolutely fantastic cattery, they could want for nothing whilst there. Jackie is such a lovely soul, she truly cares about each and every cat that comes in. She really made us feel at ease from the moment we spoke to her. The cattery is amazing, lots of cat trees and toys to keep the kitties occupied. The rooms are very spacious too and very clean. Whilst we were away we got regular updates showing us that our kittens were fine and having a fabulous time!! Can not recommend enough, Wilson & Lester will certainly be back soon.

Our cat Dexter stayed with Jackie for 5 days, and he will definitely be returning when we go away again. The pens are huge and Jackie provides lots of toys and tall play stations to keep the cats busy. Cattery is very clean and spacious. We received photos and video updates of Dexter and it seems that he didn’t miss us at all whilst in Jackies care! 100% recommend this cattery, if you want your fur baby in safe hands then this is the place to go!

Absolutely brilliant cattery! Our Olive is quite a timid cat usually and not a fan of strangers but she loved her stay at Appletree! It’s so clear that Jackie loves what she does, she treats all the cats that stay as if they were her own and gives them so much fuss and attention - the only downside is I don’t think they want to come home! Every room has a huge window, is filled with more scratch posts/cat towers/toys than they could possibly wish for and plenty of hiding spots for if they want to be left alone. Jackie also lets the cats out of their rooms (individually) to roam around if they want to and will send lots of photos/videos whilst you are away so you always have peace of mind. I wouldn't consider sending Olive anywhere else from now on!

I've just collected my cat from his first stay at Apple Tree and couldn't be more happy. The whole process has been so smooth from start to finish. Before we booked anything Jackie let us have a look around and from chatting to her you can get an idea of her knowledge and passion for what she does. It was the first time we had used a cattery so when we dropped him off she had sprayed his room with scents to reduce his stress. The rooms are all very clean, centrally heated, and full of places for the cats to hide with lots of toys for them to play with. The cattery doesn't accommodate a huge number of cats so they really have the time and space to dedicate to each cat. Jackie kept us updated with photos of how he was getting on whilst we were away which was very reassuring. Really great experience!

Jackie was able to fit us in, with about a weeks notice and I'm so glad we were lucky enough to use this cattery. Our cats are both below 2, and have never had a cattery experience before. I was very nervous, but Jackie put all my fears to rest and sent us update photos of how they were doing. I truly believe they were spoilt rotten as they now won't stop asking me for treats! One of my cats was quite reserved and nervous when he went in, now he is all for cuddles and sitting on new people too! Thank you Jackie- we will be back 🙏

A wonderful cattery, Jackie the owner obviously adores cats and caters for their every need, especially their specific food likes. Our cat Tinks is getting on in years and we discovered Appletree Cattery post lockdown as our regular cattery ceased trading. We were concerned he would find a new cattery stressful but need not have worried as Jackie made him feel instantly at home. All in all highly recommended, we can go away on holiday safe in the knowledge Tinks is being well cared for.

A warm and welcoming cattery! I knew my kitten would be in safe hands right away. She had the best first experience away from us and had everything she needed to make her feel at home. Highly recommend if you are looking for a comfortable and safe environment, outstanding service from Jackie too, she’s truly amazing with all the cats in her care.

Such a lovely cattery and Dexter was so well looked after there as he needs a lot of love and care as he’s an older cat. Jackie is so lovely and accommodating and goes above and beyond, sending photos and updates to us while we were away. Cat accommodation is 1st class. Just like a hotel. Highly recommended. Excellent place for your pet. Jackie has a wealth of experience and her passion for what she does clearly shines through. The cattery is maintained impeccably and the rooms are large and spacious. Tornado was well looked after during his stay here and I have no hesitation in recommending Apple Tree cattery to anyone. The best cattery we found in Nottingham. Thank you Jackie.

Excellent cattery with an owner that really cares about the cats and goes above and beyond every time! The facilities are second to none and plenty big enough for however many cats you have. Thoroughly recommend but book early!
